What is CVE-2018-18435?

KioWare Server versions up to 4.9.6 are susceptible to a privilege escalation vulnerability due to default installation paths with weak permissions. The installation directory 'C:\kioware_com' grants full access rights to all users, allowing unauthorized modifications. Additionally, the presence of the 'KWSService' running as 'Localsystem' facilitates an attacker's ability to replace the service's binary with malicious code, leading to elevated privileges and potentially compromising the entire system.
