What is CVE-2018-18442?
D-Link DCS-825L devices running firmware version 1.08 are susceptible to denial-of-service attacks, allowing attackers to disrupt device availability. By employing tools like hping3, an attacker can launch various forms of flood attacks, including SYN flooding, UDP flooding, ICMP flooding, and SYN-ACK flooding. These attacks jeopardize the device's ability to provide live video and audio streaming, impacting users' access to critical surveillance capabilities.
