What is CVE-2018-18678?
GNUBOARD5 prior to version 5.3.2.0 is susceptible to a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability, which enables remote attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts or HTML content. This vulnerability is triggered through manipulation of the 'board group extra contents' parameter, notably within the adm/boardgroup_form_update.php endpoint. Exploitation of this flaw could lead to unauthorized data exposure or the execution of malicious scripts in the context of users accessing the affected application.
