What is CVE-2018-18965?

The osCommerce 2.3.4.1 platform features a security flaw due to an incomplete .htaccess configuration for blacklisting unauthorized file types on the product page. While the catalog/images/ directory properly prohibits HTML file extensions, alternate methods of execution remain unaddressed. This can allow potential attackers to run HTML files through unconventional filenames such as those without extensions or unrecognized extensions, leading to unauthorized content execution and possible exploitation.
