What is CVE-2018-19232?

A remote denial of service vulnerability exists in the web service of Epson WorkForce WF-2861 printers, specifically in versions 10.48 LQ22I3, 10.51 LQ20I6, and 10.52 LQ17IA. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted FIRMWAREUPDATE GET request to the printer's web service at the /DOWN/FIRMWAREUPDATE/ROM1 URI. Successful exploitation may allow attackers to disrupt the normal operation of the affected printers, leading to potential service interruptions for users.
