What is CVE-2018-19420?

GetSimpleCMS version 3.3.15 has a weakness in its file handling that allows for HTML code execution through certain unconventional file uploads. Specifically, while the upload functionality blocks files with a .html extension, it fails to account for files without an extension or those with unrecognized extensions such as '.test' or '.test.asdf'. This oversight in the file validation process enables an attacker to upload a malicious file that can be executed by the server, posing significant security risks.
