What is CVE-2018-19791?

The OpenLiteSpeed server prior to version 1.5.0 RC6 is susceptible to a response amplification vulnerability that arises from improper handling of byte sequence requests. An attacker can exploit this weakness by crafting HTTP requests with specific Range headers, such as 'bytes=0-,0-', which enables them to repeatedly request the full response body. This can lead to significant increases in response sizes, potentially overwhelming servers and affecting availability.
