What is CVE-2018-21131?
Certain wireless access points from NETGEAR are susceptible to an unauthenticated firmware downgrade attack. This vulnerability allows attackers to exploit older, potentially vulnerable firmware versions on the devices, which could lead to unauthorized access and compromise of network security. Specifically, the WAC505 and WAC510 models prior to version 5.0.0.17 are affected. Users are advised to update their devices to the latest firmware to mitigate this risk.
