What is CVE-2018-25214?
MegaPing is susceptible to a local buffer overflow vulnerability that can lead to a denial-of-service condition. When an attacker supplies a payload that exceeds the expected limits in the Destination Address List field during the Finger function, it can lead to a crash of the application. This flaw allows local attackers to disrupt the functionality of MegaPing by triggering the Start button after inputting a crafted buffer.
