What is CVE-2018-25229?

The BulletProof FTP Server 2019.0.0.50 is prone to a denial of service vulnerability that can be exploited via the SMTP configuration interface. Local attackers can crash the application by providing an oversized input in the SMTP Server field. Specifically, an input of 257 'A' characters triggers a crash when the Test button is clicked, disrupting the service and potentially affecting system availability.
