What is CVE-2018-25235?

The NetworkActiv Web Server version 4.0 is susceptible to a buffer overflow vulnerability found in the username field of its Security options. This flaw allows local attackers to intentionally crash the application by submitting a username string that exceeds the allocated buffer size. By leveraging this vulnerability through crafted input in the Set username interface, attackers could effectively trigger a denial of service, compromising the availability of the web server.
