What is CVE-2018-25256?
IP TOOLS version 2.50 is susceptible to a local buffer overflow vulnerability within the SNMP Scanner component. This flaw allows local attackers to exploit oversized input fields ('From Addr' and 'To Addr') to trigger application crashes. When such data is supplied and the Start button is clicked, it results in denial of service and can lead to SEH overwrite, making the application unstable and unusable.
