LanSpy 2.0.1.159 has a local buffer overflow vulnerability in the scanning functionality that enables local attackers to execute arbitrary code. This is achieved through exploitation of the structured exception handling (SEH) mechanisms, allowing attackers to craft malicious payloads utilizing egghunter techniques to identify and execute shellcode.
