What is CVE-2018-25266?

Angry IP Scanner version 3.5.3 is susceptible to a buffer overflow vulnerability within its preferences dialog. This flaw enables local attackers to induce a denial of service by submitting an oversized string. The vulnerability can be exploited by creating a file filled with repeating characters and pasting this into the display preferences' value field, effectively crashing the application.
