What is CVE-2018-25353?

The Redaxo CMS Mediapool Addon version 5.5.1 and earlier is susceptible to an arbitrary file upload vulnerability. This issue allows authenticated users with editor privileges to bypass file extension restrictions, enabling the upload of potentially malicious executable files utilizing obfuscated extensions, such as php71 or php53. Attackers leveraging this vulnerability can execute arbitrary code on the server, leading to unauthorized access and potential data compromise.
