What is CVE-2018-25361?
The Soroush IM Desktop App version 0.17.0 contains a vulnerability that enables local attackers to bypass authentication mechanisms. By leveraging a consistent encryption key, malicious actors can insert pre-encrypted database entries into the app's database. This action permits unauthorized access to the application, allowing the attacker to unlock the client and gain access to all stored data, including chats, images, and files, without needing the original passcode.
