What is CVE-2018-3178?
The Hyperion Common Events component of Oracle Hyperion is susceptible to a vulnerability that may be exploited by an unauthenticated attacker with network access through HTTP. The attack requires human interaction from a user other than the attacker, leading to potential unauthorized updates, inserts, or deletions of certain accessible data within Hyperion Common Events. Furthermore, this vulnerability may also allow unauthorized read access to a subset of that data, significantly affecting the integrity and confidentiality of data managed within the Oracle Hyperion environment.
