What is CVE-2018-3894?
A significant buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the HTTP server of the Samsung SmartThings Hub, specifically within the /cameras/XXXX/clips handler. This issue arises due to the improper handling of the strncpy function, which can overflow a fixed-size destination buffer of 52 bytes. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted request with an excessively long 'startTime' value, potentially allowing them to execute arbitrary code remotely.
