What is CVE-2018-3906?

A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the video-core's HTTP server of Samsung SmartThings Hub. This flaw arises when the video-core process improperly retrieves the shard.videoHostURL field from its SQLite database. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by crafting a specific HTTP request, which leads to a buffer overflow on the stack, potentially allowing unauthorized access or control over the affected device.
