What is CVE-2018-3945?
An exploitable use-after-free vulnerability exists in the JavaScript engine of Foxit Software's Foxit PDF Reader, specifically in version 9.1.0.5096. This vulnerability can be triggered when a specially crafted PDF document is opened by the user. It allows an attacker to exploit a rehoused object in memory, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution. To exploit this issue, the attacker relies on social engineering tactics to convince the user to open the maliciously crafted PDF file, which can compromise the security of the user's system.
