What is CVE-2018-4072?
A permission assignment flaw exists in the ACEManager component of the Sierra Wireless AirLink ES450, which enables authenticated users to manipulate configuration settings without sufficient restrictions. The vulnerability arises from the EmbeddedAceSet_Task.cgi functionality, where after discovering the MSCIID, an attacker can exploit the /cgi-bin/Embedded_Ace_Set_Task.cgi endpoint to make unauthorized configuration changes, potentially compromising the device's integrity and security.
