What is CVE-2018-4073?
A permission assignment vulnerability exists in the ACEManager EmbeddedAceSet_Task.cgi functionality of the Sierra Wireless AirLink ES450 firmware version 4.9.3. This flaw allows attackers to execute unauthorized changes to system settings through the endpoint /cgi-bin/Embeded_Ace_TLSet_Task.cgi. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by making an authenticated HTTP request or running the binary as any user, leading to arbitrary modifications of system settings and potential manipulation of device functionality.
