What is CVE-2018-6242?
The vulnerability involves a buffer overflow in the BootROM Recovery Mode (RCM) of certain NVIDIA Tegra mobile processors released before 2016. An attacker who has physical access to the device's USB port and can reboot the device into RCM can exploit this vulnerability to execute unverified code, which poses a significant risk to the security and integrity of the affected devices.
