What is CVE-2018-6414?

A buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the web server of select Hikvision IP Cameras. This flaw allows attackers to exploit insufficient input validation by sending specially crafted messages to the affected devices. Successfully executing the exploit can lead to memory corruption, resulting in arbitrary code execution or causing the device to crash, thus compromising the security and functionality of the impacted cameras.
