CVE-2018-8018

9.8CRITICAL

Key Information:

Vendor
Apache
Vendor
CVE Published:
20 July 2018

Summary

In Apache Ignite versions prior to 2.4.8 and 2.5.x before 2.5.3, the serialization mechanism lacks a restriction on allowed classes for serialization and deserialization. This oversight enables the execution of arbitrary code if maliciously crafted serialized objects are sent to the GridClientJdkMarshaller deserialization endpoint, particularly in contexts where vulnerable third-party classes are included in the Ignite classpath.

Affected Version(s)

Apache Ignite 2.5.x before 2.5.3

Apache Ignite 2.4.x before 2.4.8
