What is CVE-2018-8715?

The Embedthis HTTP library and Appweb contain a logic flaw in the authCondition function located in http/httpLib.c. This flaw allows an attacker to craft a forged HTTP request that can effectively circumvent the authentication mechanisms associated with form and digest login types. As a result, unauthorized access to protected resources may be granted, thereby exposing sensitive data and compromising overall system integrity.
