What is CVE-2018-8924?
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in Synology Office versions prior to 3.0.3-2143. This vulnerability allows remote authenticated users to exploit a flaw in the Title Tooltip feature, potentially leading to the injection of arbitrary web scripts or HTML through malicious file names. As a result, threat actors can execute harmful scripts in the context of a user's session, which could compromise sensitive information and lead to further exploits.
