What is CVE-2018-9046?
A vulnerability in Windows Optimization Master version 7.99.13.604 allows local users to generate a denial of service condition. This is achieved through improper validation of input values in the driver file WoptiHWDetect.SYS when handling specific IOCtl commands. Exploiting this flaw may lead to system crashes, resulting in the blue screen of death (BSOD) and potentially causing further instability within the operating system.
