What is CVE-2019-0212?

An authorization flaw exists in the Apache HBase REST server across all previously released versions in the 2.x series. This vulnerability allows requests to be processed under the REST server's own permissions rather than the permissions of the individual user making the request. This issue arises specifically when HBase is configured with Kerberos authentication and when authorization is enabled. It poses a risk solely within the context of the HBase REST server, potentially allowing unauthorized access to resources.
