What is CVE-2019-10053?

A vulnerability exists in Suricata versions prior to 4.1.4, which is triggered when the SSHParseBanner function processes input consisting solely of a newline character. This flaw leads to a heap-based buffer over-read due to an erroneous attempt to locate a carriage return, resulting in an integer underflow. Attackers could exploit this vulnerability to potentially expose sensitive information or compromise system integrity.
