What is CVE-2019-11355?
A command injection vulnerability exists in Poly HDX 3.1.13, where an attacker can exploit a feature that allows the creation or upload of server/user certificates on the administrator's page. By manipulating input in the Common Name (CN) or other Certificate Signing Request (CSR) fields with special characters, such as a single quote, an attacker can inject arbitrary commands. This could lead to execution of system commands with root privileges, compromising the security of the affected device. It is vital for organizations using this product to apply appropriate patches and follow security best practices.
