What is CVE-2019-11446?
ATutor, a popular open-source e-learning platform, has a vulnerability that allows users with teacher privileges to execute arbitrary commands on the server. This flaw exists in the File Manager section, specifically within the upload.php script, where it fails to properly validate file extensions. As a result, certain file types can be uploaded despite being deemed illegal. This oversight can lead to malicious exploitation, potentially allowing attackers to run unauthorized commands and compromise the server environment.
