TeamViewer Local Privilege Escalation Vulnerability Affecting Non-Admin Users
CVE-2019-11769
7.8HIGH
What is CVE-2019-11769?
A security flaw in TeamViewer version 14.2.2558 allows non-administrative users to trigger an update that improperly processes administrative credentials within the GUI. These credentials are vulnerable to interception by any application running in the same user context, enabling local attackers to capture them as cleartext from the process memory. This vulnerability can be exploited by injecting code into TeamViewer, allowing unauthorized access to sensitive credentials and potential privilege escalation.
