What is CVE-2019-12830?
A vulnerability in MyBB versions prior to 1.8.21 allows attackers to exploit a parsing flaw within the Private Message and Post renderer. This flaw gives rise to a persistent XSS attack via [video] BBCode, enabling malicious users to potentially take over any forum account. The exploit is associated with a specific nested video MyCode issue that, if left unpatched, poses a significant risk to user accounts and the integrity of the forum.
