Command Injection Vulnerability in qBittorrent Affects Multiple Versions
CVE-2019-13640
9.8CRITICAL
What is CVE-2019-13640?
In qBittorrent versions prior to 4.1.7, a vulnerability exists that allows attackers to exploit the Application::runExternalProgram() function within app/application.cpp. This flaw enables command injection through the use of shell metacharacters injected into the torrent name or the current tracker parameter. As demonstrated, a crafted name within an RSS feed can lead to unauthorized remote command execution, posing significant risks to users of affected versions.
