What is CVE-2019-14749?

An issue exists in osTicket prior to version 1.10.7 and 1.12.x before 1.12.1, allowing CSV injection vulnerabilities through the export functionality. Dynamic spreadsheet generation from unvalidated user inputs in specific fields permits untrusted data to enter spreadsheet applications like Excel or OpenOffice Calc. This can lead to potential data manipulation and unauthorized commands being executed within spreadsheets, posing risks to end users accessing the exported files.

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
