What is CVE-2019-15029?
FusionPBX version 4.4.8 is vulnerable to a remote code execution flaw that allows an attacker to execute arbitrary system commands. This is achieved by submitting crafted input to the service_edit.php file, which results in the malicious command being stored in the database. The attacker can then trigger the execution of this command by invoking the services.php file through a GET request, including the relevant service ID and executing it with the parameter a=start. This vulnerability can potentially compromise the system, allowing attackers to manipulate server operations and gain unauthorized access.
Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)
PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
