Summary

An issue affecting Broadcom Wi-Fi client devices may allow an attacker to exploit specially crafted traffic to prompt internal errors. These errors are related to state transitions in the WLAN device and can result in inadequate layer 2 Wi-Fi encryption. Consequently, this could lead to the potential exposure of sensitive information over the air, impacting user data confidentiality through selected traffic patterns.

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
