What is CVE-2019-15608?

The Yarn package manager prior to version 1.19.0 is susceptible to a Time-of-Check to Time-of-Use (TOCTOU) vulnerability. This flaw arises because the integrity validation of packages is conducted before the packages are written to the cache. However, the hash verification is not repeated during subsequent reads from the cache. As a result, this oversight may allow attackers to exploit the caching mechanism, potentially leading to cache pollution attacks that compromise the integrity of the packages.
