What is CVE-2019-15938?
A remote buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the NFS component of Pengutronix Barebox up to version 2019.08.1. This vulnerability is triggered due to the unsafe handling of a length field in the nfs_readlink_req function, which directly utilizes the length for a memcpy operation. An attacker can exploit this flaw by sending crafted requests to the affected system, potentially allowing for arbitrary code execution or other malicious actions.
