DLL Side Loading Vulnerability in TeamViewer for Windows
CVE-2019-18196
6.7MEDIUM
What is CVE-2019-18196?
A DLL side loading vulnerability exists in TeamViewer on Windows that could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system. This flaw is present in earlier releases of TeamViewer, where improper handling of DLL files can enable code execution during a service restart. While exploitation requires an attacker to create a file within the TeamViewer application directory, the default directory permissions may restrict such actions. Patches have been released to address these unintended permissions in affected versions.
