What is CVE-2019-19954?
A local privilege escalation vulnerability exists in Signal Desktop for Windows versions prior to 1.29.1. This vulnerability allows local users to exploit a flaw by creating a tampered file at %SYSTEMDRIVE%\node_modules.bin\wmic.exe. If successfully executed, this would enable the user to gain elevated privileges within the operating system, compromising system integrity and confidentiality.
