What is CVE-2019-25014?

A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability exists in the Istio Pilot, particularly in the API endpoint handling within the debug.go file. Exploiting this flaw allows attackers to craft specific HTTP GET requests that may trigger a panic in the Go runtime, ultimately leading to a denial of service for the application. Users are advised to upgrade to Istio Pilot version 1.5.0-alpha.0 or later to mitigate this issue.
