What is CVE-2019-25035?

Unbound versions prior to 1.9.5 have a coding flaw that allows for an out-of-bounds write in the function sldns_bget_token_par. Although the vendor contests the classification of this as a significant vulnerability, it is essential to note that the code’s design does not permit remote or local attacks on a running Unbound installation. Users should still be aware of this potential weakness and consider upgrading to mitigate any risks.
