What is CVE-2019-25258?

LogicalDOC Enterprise 7.7.4 is susceptible to multiple post-authentication file disclosure vulnerabilities that enable attackers to read arbitrary files. By exploiting unverified 'suffix' and 'fileVersion' parameters through directory traversal techniques in the /thumbnail and /convertpdf endpoints, an attacker could gain access to sensitive system files, including 'win.ini' and '/etc/passwd', through manipulation of path traversal sequences. This could lead to the exposure of sensitive information and potentially severe breaches of system integrity.

Affected Version(s)

LogicalDOC Enterprise 7.7.4

LogicalDOC Enterprise 7.7.3

LogicalDOC Enterprise 7.7.2

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
