What is CVE-2019-25369?

OPNsense version 19.1 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability located in the system_advanced_sysctl.php endpoint. This security flaw allows attackers to inject persistent malicious scripts by submitting POST requests with script payloads through the tunable parameter. Once the payload is stored, it is executed in the context of authenticated user sessions when the affected page is accessed, potentially compromising user data and the integrity of the system.
