What is CVE-2019-25371?

OPNsense versions prior to 19.1 are susceptible to a reflected cross-site scripting flaw stemming from inadequate input validation within the host parameter. This vulnerability enables attackers to send specially crafted POST requests to the diag_ping.php endpoint, thereby injecting and executing arbitrary JavaScript in the browsers of unsuspecting users. Such an exploit utilizes the security lapse to manipulate user interactions and potentially steal sensitive information.
