Smoothwall Express 3.1-SP4-polar-x86_64-update9 is susceptible to multiple reflected cross-site scripting vulnerabilities within the hosts.cgi script. This flaw allows attackers to inject malicious scripts by exploiting unvalidated parameters. By issuing crafted POST requests to the hosts.cgi endpoint, they can include script payloads in parameters such as IP, HOSTNAME, or COMMENT, leading to the execution of arbitrary JavaScript within users' browsers, potentially compromising user data and experience.
