What is CVE-2019-25387?

Smoothwall Express 3.1-SP4-polar-x86_64-update9 is susceptible to a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability. This security flaw enables unauthenticated attackers to manipulate the xtaccess.cgi endpoint by injecting malicious scripts through carefully crafted input. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by sending POST requests containing script payloads in parameters such as EXT, DEST_PORT, or COMMENT. When successful, these attacks can lead to the execution of arbitrary JavaScript code in the browsers of unaware victims, posing a significant risk to user data and privacy.
