What is CVE-2019-25566?

TransMac 12.3 is susceptible to a buffer overflow vulnerability within the volume name field, allowing local attackers to crash the application. By providing an excessively long string, such as a malicious file containing 1000 repeated characters, attackers can trigger the application to fail during the disk image creation process. This vulnerability presents a significant risk for users who may inadvertently create an unstable environment.
